I am an independent scholar, critic, and curator living and working in Brooklyn, NY. After studying visual art at New York University and working within both commercial and non-profit art organizations, I earned my master’s in Art History from Hunter College. Exhibitions I have curated have been reviewed in Artforum, Art in America, ArtNews, The New York Times, and The New Yorker, among others. My writing has appeared in Artforum, Art in America, Brooklyn Rail, e-flux, Frieze, Mousse, Sculpture, and X–TRA. I am most interested in how artists engage with photography and imaging, strategies of collage and appropriation, and the legacy of the Readymade. Recent writings have featured post-war and contemporary artists, such as Sturtevant, Robert Rauschenberg, Jay DeFeo, Louise Lawler, Lutz Bacher, Peter Fischli and David Weiss, Jason Dodge, and Alicja Kwade.
